This position is located at the Internal Revenue Service, Agency-Wide Shared Services, Real Estate and Facilities Management Division, Chamblee, Georgia. Incumbent serves as a Building Management Specialist responsible for providing technical advice, consultation, and assistance associated with building management functions.


Tour of Duty: Monday - Friday (7:30 am - 4:00 pm)

Major Duties

Incumbent is responsible for planning, analyzing, and implementing critical service functions in the areas of landscape management/snow removal, food services (e.g., cafeteria and canteens) operations or recycling/shredding services or other related programs.  These services frequently impact multiple IRS locations and organizations, contractors, state and local agencies and other federal agencies.  Serves as a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) on one or more recurring contracts. The position also requires the administration of assigned service contracts, the processing and certification of procurement documents, independent development of scopes of work, and the tracking of delegation and service contract funding.  Landscape Management/Snow Removal: Responsible for daily landscape management program on sites generally 80 acres or less including, but not limited to grass cutting and edging, pest and weed control, tree and shrubs pruning/removal etc.  Food Service Duties: Responsible for daily food service programs including cafeteria and canteen providers.  Recycling/Shredding Duties: Responsible for daily recycling program, which may include but not limited to, office paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, glass, printer cartridges, etc. Prepares budget projections, initiates Requisition Tracking System (RTS) actions, and monitors funding and spending on contracts/projects through coordination with Real Estate and Facilities Management (REFM) Headquarters Buildings Delegation Staff and National Office Finance Specialist.
