About the Position: MILITARY INTELLIGENCE READINESS COMMAND, OFFICE OF THE G1.
This Position is under the supervision of the Commanding Officer/Executive Officer.
This position is located at the Military Intelligence Readiness Command, G1, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The position offers the opportunity to work in an office in a United States Army Reserve Center on a military post.

Major Duties
Principal advisor to the commander on education matters, which have impact on the battalion (BN) mission. As the professional educational liaison, the ESS interacts with state educational associations, high schools, postsecondary schools, vocational schools, school districts, and other components of the education community to enhance military recruitment. Employee independently implements U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) and Brigade (BDE) educational and related programs and policies, and develops total educational liaison programs relating to the recruiting mission boundaries. Uses a full professional knowledge of education and training theory, principles, and techniques to evaluate educational programs, implement Department of Army (DA) and USAREC education related programs and policies, determine training needs, and develop and present educational materials and programs.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of education theories, principles, procedures, and practices of secondary, adult, or continuing education. Application of professional knowledge of educational and vocational testing and counseling, and the application of the administrative policies and procedures of the education services program. Experience directing or managing a local or departmental education services program.
Minimum Education Requirements: Degree that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to the position to be filled in one or a combination of the following areas. At least one course must have been from Tests and measurements or Adult education:
Tests and measurements, Adult Education, Educational program administration, Curriculum development or design, Teaching methods, Guidance and counseling, Career planning or Occupational information.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Your pay will be set within the range specified in this vacancy announcement and will be based on your qualification, education, experience, training, and availability of funds.
