Job Listing: Credit Collections Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Handle the credit and collections activities of Michigan/Indiana/Illinois Advertising Sales by coordinating with the sales and traffic staff on a daily basis, reviewing credit applications, reviewing customer billings and collecting overdue balances.

MAJOR DUTIES:
•Responsible for reviewing and approving credit applications based on established company policy.
•Responsible for all collection efforts including daily discussions with sales staff, customer contacts, and collection notifications.
•Responsible for reviewing and approving customer orders
•Responsible for billing statements, past due notices, and collection calls based on established policy.
•May perform clerical duties including, but not limited to: mail processing, filing, notarizing invoices, record retention, and data entry.
•Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

•High School Graduate.
•Minimum 5 years accounts receivable, cash application and/or collections experience required.
•Minimum 3-5 years experience in Advertising Sales industry, including prior interaction with advertising customers, agencies, rep firms, and account executives.
•Extensive knowledge of Novar traffic and billing system strongly preferred.
•Strong communication skills are necessary as is proficiency with computer programs such as MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
