Job Listing: Ruggedized Computer Engineer

Company Background

This Company specializes in full-cycle (R&D, Design, and Manufacturing) of ruggedized servers and storage solutions. Their products are primarily utilized by US Armed forces particularly the US Navy.


Job Description / Daily Tasks

- Analysis, design, and development of computer hardware (server technology).
- Explore modifications to existing configurations and designs.
- Developing high performance computing configurations.
- Working with vendors to determine new components to be installed into products.
- Modification of existing high performance computing (HPC) products and server system designs.
- Working with production team to solve functional server issues.


Qualifications

1. BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Related Discipline
a. AutoCAD Lite & Linux Experience MUST HAVE

2. 6-8 years experience working in multiple computing platforms.

3. In depth understating of CPU components (PCI Cards, PCIX, NIC, RAID Cards)

4. Understanding of cabling, cable ratings, and power supplies for CPU’s.

5. NEBS (Network Equipment Building Systems Preferred

6. Understanding of ruggedized technologies is Preferred.

7. Candidates MUST be able to obtain US Security Clearance
