This announcement may be used to fill a temporary Office Assistant (Concessions Management), GS-0303-05, position for the 2008 summer season in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 working hours in a 12 month period (approximately 6 months), although positions may be terminated sooner or extended depending on management needs.  This announcement may be used to fill other office GS-0303-05, positions parkwide.  Ideally, the incumbent would work full-time; however, a candidate with part-time needs may be considered.

Major Duties

This position is in the Division of Business Management in Yellowstone National Park.  The incumbent performs general administrative duties in the Concessions Management Office including editing and finalizing correspondence and reports, receiving visitors, scheduling appointments, maintaining office calendars, making travel arrangements, answering telephones, and assisting with commercial use authorizations.  The incumbent will represent the National Park Service at seasonal employee orientation programs.  This requires speaking to audiences of 25 to 100 employees.
Physical Demands:
Work is primarily in an office setting.  A large amount of time is spent at personal computers and working with other office equipment.
