About the Position: Performs a full spectrum of complex restorative procedures to include operative dentistry plus fixed and removable prosthodontic care inclusive of fabrication of complete and partial dentures, crowns, and bridges. Performs deep scaling and root planning
Employee must be a graduate of an Advanced Education Program in General Dentistry 2 year program accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation and have three years of clinical experience as a comprehensive dentist and/or training equivalent to at least that of Board eligible for the American Board of General Dentistry. Major Duties
Performs corrective and restorative measures on very difficult cases, using extensive professional knowledge of dentistry; knowledge and skill to diagnose and treat very difficult cases; thorough understanding and knowledge of the relationships and applications of the basic sciences; and exceptional skill in handling patients with behavioral problems. Manages a dentoalveolar surgery practice, which would include exodontia; biopsy of intraoral lesions; preprosthetic surgery; evaluation and management of oral surgery complications to include treatment of dental infections; treatment of cellulitis secondary to varying dental etiologies; and evaluation, treatment, and/or referral of oral and maxillofacial trauma cases. Performs endodontic procedures to include, but not limited to, diagnosis of difficult endodontic cases, treatment of the majority of teeth presenting for endodontic treatment, evaluation and retreatment of selected endodontic cases, and management of endodontic complications

Basic Requirements:Licensure:Must be currently licensed to practice dentistry in a State, DC, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the U.S.A. Please list the type of licensure you possess and from where it was obtained. Failure to do so will result in non-consideration of your reusme.Education:Degree in Dental Surgery (DDS) or Dental Medicine (DMD) from a school approved by the Council on Dental Education, American Dental Association (ADA); or other dental school, provided the education and knowledge acquired was substantially equivalent to that of graduates from an ADA-approved school.

Requirements in addition to the Basic Requirements: Experience and/or training must be one of the following types: Post-licensure professional experience in the general practice of dentistry; Approved internship training; Approved residency training; Graduate-level study in an accredited dental school; Post-licensure professional experience in a specialized area of practice; Other advanced study or training (outside a dental school or hospital) creditable towards satisfaction of training program requirements for Board eligibility.
