The incumbent will check patient vital signs, assess the patient on arrival, during treatment and after discharge. The staff nurse will interact with the patients, teaching them about their kidney problems and answering their questions.

Major Duties
The incumbent will check patient vital signs, assess the patient on arrival, during treatment and after discharge. The staff nurse will interact with the patients, teaching them about their kidney problems and answering their questions. The incumbent will initiate and oversee the dialysis treatment from start to finish. They will evaluate the patient’s tolerance and reaction to the procedure and adjust treatment in consultation with the managing physician. The nurse will monitor the patient, labs, home medications and activity level. The incumbent will support the entire team in delivering quality care in a considerate, professional and respectful manner.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
The incumbent will provide dialysis care and treatment
1. RN, BSN preferred. BLS required.
2. License must be free and clear.
2. Minimum of two years recent dialysis experience.
3. Previous chronic and or acute dialysis experience required.
4. Able to prioritize and function effectively in high volume and crisis situations.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills to enter and retrieve data.
6. Positive interpersonal skills; ability to work well with all disciplines.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.
You must submit to a drug test and receive a negative drug test before you can be appointed into this position.
You must have a certification, licensure, or registration credentials in Registered Nurse for this position. In some cases, these may be substituted for experience and education.
You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.
