The Account Manager shall function as an Information Technology Specialist in support of the Information Technology Division’s (ITD) Account Manager and Customer Relations Management program with a primary focus on customer satisfaction.  An IT Specialist – Account Manager is a recognized senior IT and business process integration expert. 



Major Duties

The Account Manager shall function as an Information Technology Specialist in support of the Information Technology Division’s (ITD) Account Manager and Customer Relations Management program with a primary focus on customer satisfaction.  An IT Specialist – Account Manager is a recognized senior IT and business process integration expert.  Typical duties include, but are not limited to the following:  managing, leading, or performing the work necessary to establish functional requirements, statements of work; independent government cost estimates, market research, business process mapping, etc.

The Account Manager acts as primary customer interface, and is responsible for:Ensuring quality of work products; developing and maintaining positive customer relationships at all levels of TSA and overseeing and growing the account relationship.  The Account Manager must stay abreast of all projects; processes and workflows within ITD.
Communicating with TSA clients on an ongoing basis and proactively.
Advocating for customer business processes and channeling those requirements through ITD’s product and service offerings.
Being knowledgeable with IT data and system security; application development; system integration; new and emerging technologies; fiscal processes; and IT governance processes, effective account management procedures and tools. 
Performing multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of the Account Executive within the Operational Effectiveness Division.
The Account Manager will also be responsible for:

Serving as a Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative when needed. 
Monitoring contractor progress, policies, procedures, techniques, methods, and management controls. 
Coordinating and monitoring all stages of the system development life cycle as it pertains to the deliverables generated within the account portfolio.

Qualifications

All applicants must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to that of the next lower pay band/grade level in the Federal Service or private sector. 

For the J pay band, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV- I band or the GS-13 grade levels. 
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.  Such experience should include demonstrated knowledge of IT data and system security; application development; system integration; new and emerging technologies; fiscal processes; and IT governance processes, effective account management procedures and tools.

Position Sensitivity:
This is a Critical-Sensitive (Level 3) position and requires a Secret Security Clearance and completion of a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or Background Investigation (BI) prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained.  The incumbent will be subject to a 5-year periodic re-investigation.
