This position is located in the Corporate University, Dallas Learning
Center, Dallas Regional Office of the Federal Deposit Insurance
Corporation and provides support in the areas of formal educational
or training programs.
Major Duties
This position serves as Instructional Systems Design Specialist and
reports to the Associate Chief Learning Officer, Dallas. Analyze
tasks, job and target audience requirements, design training
strategies, and develop instructional and performance support
products and materials to close gaps between current and desired
performance. Project and justify line item budgetary needs for
assigned projects. Monitor and manage expenditures within approved
budgets and report variances as appropriate.
You will initiate and participate in planning, managing, controlling,
directing, and coordinating courses and learning events related to
all areas of the FDIC's mission. Adjust goals to meet changes in the
corporation's functions and programs, and reallocate resources in
response to program and project changes.
Assist in generating Corporate-wide policy recommendations for
learning and development. Policy development includes application of
technology to products, alternative media selection models,
alternative mechanisms for rollouts, and improvement methods to track
and manage projects, including evaluation.
Assume responsibility for analysis, development, implementation and
evaluation of performance support and instructional products,
materials, and programs. Such services include traditional classroom-
based training, Computer Based Instruction, Distance Learning,
automated or electronic job aids, paper based or electronic manuals,
structured On the Job training, live instructor lead internet
training, Intranet and Internet based performance support, and other
innovative delivery methodologies.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements: Candidates MUST have a college degree that
included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours
appropriate to the work of the position to be filled. The course
work MUST have included study in at least four of the following five
areas: (1) Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational
psychology;(2) Instructional design practices;(3) Educational
evaluation;(4) Instructional product development or (5)Computers in
education and training.
In addition to the above educational requirement, the applicant must
have one year of specialized experience as stated below equivalent to
the grade 12 in the Federal Government:
(Examples of specialized experience include: administering,
designing, developing, or providing educational or training services
in formal education or training programs. The experience must
demonstrate knowledge of learning theory and the principles, methods,
practices and techniques of one or more specialties of the
instructional systems field).

Salary Range: 77,528.00 - 130,903.00 USD per year
