Job Listing: ASP Programmer

Under the guidance of a senior programmer/developer, you will design, and develop simple to complex web applications in classic ASP (not ASP.NET) and SQL Server 2000. You must have at least 1 year active experience developing applications in ASP. You must also have at least 1 year experience designing and developing databases and writing queries, stored procedures, user defined functions, triggers etc. ASP and SQL code samples will be required.

Job functions include:
Very heavy programming in ASP including pie, line, bar, 3D, color charts/graphs generated in real-time from SQL-Server or MS Access database data and user parameters using ASP components.
Maintain and improve old code, building new iterations based on current logic, diverse content management code ranging from data collection to online form validation, tracking, manipulation, summarizing, and export to many formats of delivery namely email, html, ftp, hard copy, etc.
Correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced.
Understand the implications of new information for both current and future National Shopping Service problem solving and decision-making
Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so other can understand the program.
Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment.
Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic.
Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
