One of the leaders in the Analytical Instrumentation and Reagent Industry has an opportunity for a CORPORATE ACCOUNT MANAGER, FOOD AND BEVERAGE. This company is part of a diversified technology leader that designs, manufactures, and markets innovative products and services with strong brand names and significant market positions.

Job Purpose:
The primary role of this position is to provide sales leadership and coordination to Food and Beverage Key Accounts at the Industry/Corporate level.

Key Responsibilities:
Determines and communicates to all relevant groups within corporation the strategies and tactics needed to gain and increase a recognizable presence within an industry or corporate segment.
Develops and implements a detailed action plan geared for the assigned industry or corporate segment.
Works with top accounts to develop 3-year business plan/strategy and annual action plans for sales, service, support and product development.
Responsible for the continued sales growth in industry or corporate segment, meets sales objectives and further penetrates key accounts.
Coordinates large project opportunity sales activities in specified market.
Participates in sales activities including: customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations and customer seminars.
Coordinates joint sales activities with Regional Sales Managers, Manufacturers Representatives and Distributors as needed.
Monitors market trends - regulatory drivers, competitive threats, market-growth predictions.
Submits annually a detailed, sales plan identifying sales objectives, and new sales opportunities. Implements the sales plan as submitted.
Competitive analysis specifically geared to the assigned industrial segment.
Contributes to the identification and development of acquisition candidates.
Interacts with senior management team as necessary to communicate and provide awareness on sales plans and issues.


Required Skills

Requirements:
BA or BS degree in Management, Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years experience in corporate level sales required. Science sales experience (five to seven years) in similar products and services preferred.
Requires proven ability to effectively interact with senior level corporate personnel and must be able to speak effectively before large groups.
Must be willing and able to travel extensively, including overnight travel.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
Must exhibit the willingness and ability to assimilate technical information quickly.
Must have good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Must maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
