This is an exciting and excellent opportunity to build and enhance leadership and managerial skills.  This person will work hand in hand with the Nurse Manager to engage in all areas of the basic traditional management functions of planning, organizing, staffing, leading, controlling, and coordinating.  He/she will collaborate with Mental Health and Nursing Leadership to provide quality care for patients from entry into treatment to discharge, including both inpatient and outpatient services.  The position provides the opportunity to collaborate and work with dynamic interdisciplinary teams, nursing leadership, and other departmental leadership within the hospital.  Successful execution of this position requires excellent communications and organizational skills, flexibility, the ability to motivate others, integrity, and creativity.  The applicant will be both a team builder and an excellent team member.  Successful experience in mentoring and coaching staff, in meeting regulatory standards, promoting nursing standards, and affecting treatment outcomes through project design and implementation would be beneficial.

Qualifications

(1)  US Citizenship is required.(2) Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant. (3) Current, full, active and unrestricted licensure as a registered professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the state. (4) Applicants must meet physical standards for the position.  Successful completion of pre-employment physical examination.  (5) BSN and Charge Nurse or Team Leader experience required and one year current mental health experience is required

RN’s appointed to direct patient care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English.

BSN required, Masters degree preferred.
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.

After appointment, you will be subject to random testing for illegal drug use.

You must have a certification, licensure, or registration credentials in Nursing for this position. In some cases, these may be substituted for experience and education.

You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range:  79,517.00 - 136,003.00 USD per yearPrimarily day shift, Mon through Fri, with occasional rotation to pms, nights, and weekends to work with off-shift nursing staff or supervisor coverage.
