Job Listing: Systems Designer (HVAC/Controls)
Under direct supervision and using established standards, you will be responsible for hardware design and software programming for HVAC control systems to meet the intent of the project requirements. You will provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, the field installation team and subcontractors. You will provide response to basic warranty calls.
Basic duties include:
Selecting hardware designs from standard design library for flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.
You will perform software programming using established standards as a basis of design.
CoordInate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects.
Coordinates factory-mounting processes to meet factory and project schedule.
Assist In the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required.
Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
Gather field changes from the project team and create as-built drawings and software.
Prepare proper documentation and/or manuals for system operation.
Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and Issues.
Assist in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system.
Complete paperwork including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
Adhere to safety standards.
Always keep a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.

Required Skills
Past experience in the design of HVAC Controls. Experience with hardware design and software programming for HVAC control systems.
