Our client, an industrial manufacturing firm based in Valdosta GA is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee 100,000 square feet of production.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position will serve as a management representative and oversee all facets of the quality management system. Develop Lean Manufacturing practices and procedures to improve and maintain high standards for quality and reliability. Manage adherence to quality and improve Cost of Quality performance at the plant level. This position will report to National Field Service Manager.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and promote continuous quality level improvements at the plant level
- Implement new techniques for the control of quality and product reliability
- Ensure appropriate and efficient documentation of quality systems and processes
- Manage/supervise activities of inspectors and oversee quality compliance
- Liaison with external parties (Suppliers and Customers) on matters relating to quality
- Implement Lean Manufacturing practices throughout the faculty.
- Analyze and maintain plant quality data and report on performance and quality.
- Identify non-conformity to quality standards and implement corrective action.
- Document & share best practices throughout the entire company
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
- Present a proven work history as a Quality Manager and/or Quality Engineer in a Lean Manufacturing environment (Minimum of (3) year’s experience).
- Hold a Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
The employee frequently is required to sit and use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and viewing a computer screen.
Experience with fiber-glass products a plus, but applicants from all consumer product fields are welcome to apply.

Rate: $75,000 to $85,000 per Year
