Job Listing: Prototype Build Technician: Automotive

Aerotek Automotive is currently seeking a Mechanical Prototype Automotive Technician for a long term contract position with one of the BIG 3 Automakers.

This technician will be performing mechanical builds and part swaps on advanced development vehicles. They will be swapping prototype parts in and out of test vehicles. The main emphasis will be on engines, transmissions and powertrain components. This technician will also perform fabrication and welding of control arms, engines mounts, brackets. Some machining may also be required.

Candidates for this position must have a strong automotive mechanical background with at least five years of verifiable experience. Candidates also MUST be ASE Master Certificated and have prototype experience. Welding and fabrication skills are preferred.

Ideal candidates will have a good work history as a mechanic at a dealership as well as prototype experience.
