Job Listing: .Net Developer

TEKsystems seeks a senior-level VB.NET developer to design, execute, assess, and troubleshoot a proprietary software application package for a client company in Lafayette, LA. The software is aimed at enhancing phone access for disabled users, incorporating VOIP technology. The software is based on Telephony Application Programming Interface (TAPI), which provides a bridge between Windows-based PCs and telephone systems.



This is a high-profile 6-month contract assignment. The candidate will work directly with the senior architect and will assist with configuring, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications. He or she will also provide support and maintenance of the application.



The candidate must have the following:



1. Must have 5 + years of demonstrated experience with full life-cycle application development (client/server and web-based applications). The candidate must be well versed in VB.NET.



2. Development experience with SQL Server is required (SQL 2000/2005).



3. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. The candidate will work directly with senior leadership in providing updates and communications about the project.



Environment is VB.NET, C#, C++, SQL 2000/2005, and MS Windows.
