Job Listing: Staff Accountant-Fortune 500!!!

A publicly traded South Florida company is looking for a bright Staff Accountant to join their dynamic organization. This position will help the right candidate grow and get great exposure to the full cycle Accounting and Reporting function. Read below for a summary of the position.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist the Assistant Controller in the month-end and year-end closing process, which primarily includes preparing and recording monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis of general ledger accounts.
-Support the Accounting department in performing annual control testing for Sarbanes Oxley.
-Assist with year-end audit and quarterly reviews and other SEC reporting requirements. Respond to auditor requests for information.
-Assist corporate management and other members of the Finance Department, by preparing ad hoc analyses, financial summaries, trial balances, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
-Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word.
-Excellent communication and organization skills.
-Knowledge of Platinum and FAS software, a plus.
-Experience with internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley, a plus.

    Salary and Benefits

    Rate: $45,000 to $55,000 per Year
