Job Listing: Citrix Server Administrator

TEKsystems has partnered with a large client in Cincinnati to locate a Citrix Server Support Administrator. This is a contract to hire position and candidates must be willing and able to go on permanent without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities:
This role is a mid-senior level systems administrator responsible for maintaining several Citrix Server Farms consisting of 40-50 servers. This is a lead position within the group and will provide day to day administration of Citrix servers, applications and be responsible for a migration to a virtualized environment. This role will also mentor other group members as well as provide recommendations to management on future direction of application serving and application virtualization. This role will also interface with many other IT groups involved with server administration, networking, IT Security, IT messaging, etc.

Provide technical support for all components of the Citrix Server Farms, including Citrix Presentation Server 4.0, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, Windows Terminal Server 2000/2003, and Web Interface/Secure Gateway
Perform ongoing maintenance on the Citrix environment, including upgrades, hot fixes.
Perform all aspects of Citrix server provisioning, including Citrix Presentation Server installation, application installation and publishing, and printing configuration, group policy administration.
Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of Citrix consolidation and standardization initiatives, including server, user, and application migration.

Create, test, and deploy application install packages to Citrix servers using Citrix
Create server, user, and application utilization reports using Citrix Resource Manager.
Provide technical and end-user documentation for Citrix architecture and procedures.

Strong oral and written communication skills required

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

5 years experience in Citrix Server Administration and Support
- supporting Citrix Presentation Server Expertise using Web Interface, Installation Manager and Resource Manager
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server technologies
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory 2003 and Group Policy
- Application packaging experience, especially with MSI technology, preferred

Citrix or Microsoft certification preferred but not essential
