The position of Servicing Manager oversees the broad elements of home loan information set-up, payment processing, escrow administration, member relations, cash management and investor reporting. The Servicing Manager is responsible for managing a team of 10 – 15 employees. This position involves a high degree of work accuracy and timely processing of various monetary activities over a broad scope. Analytical skills are vital to ensure adequate reserves are set up in escrow holding accounts, based on current and future estimated need projections. Consistent adherence to the various regulations including RESPA, tax reporting and investor guidelines are crucial. The incumbent is responsible for oversight of the reconciliation of the loan record to ensure accuracy in general ledger and balance funds, payment posting/application, investor remittance, escrow reserve accounts and escrow analysis and modification. The proper and timely reporting of interest (member and IRS), escrow account activity and investor accounting is necessary. The incumbent ensures proper processing of insurance loss drafts and disbursements to contractors for collateral repair. Strong leadership qualities are necessary, as the manager must ensure that subordinate staff consistently works with a high degree of accuracy, while meeting volume demands and deadlines.
