Major Duties
The Inspector will provide direction, supervision and administration
of the overall security and law enforcement/investigative programs,
protection programs constituting the operations of the Police Force,
including a constant appraisal of operational efficiency for
assuring the implementation of approved maximum security criteria
into the program supervised. Under emergency conditions is expected
to direct and/or effect immediate and decisive action and report
promptly all such conditions, including remedial actions taken.
Participates in conducting a continuing inspection program of police
operations for assuring that protective services are properly
integrated and coordinated across organizational lines of the Mint
and equally applied to non-Mint occupants and customer agencies
alike; assists in the maintenance of surveillance systems over all
program
activities and objectives, and on an organized basis causes or
conducts periodic and unannounced other security inspections, for
effective enforcement of maximum protective services.
Works under the general supervision of the Chief, Office of
Operations and Training. Under normal circumstances, performs duties
independently within the scope of delegated authority without
benefit of immediate supervision. The Chief, Operations and Training
will render technical assistance and guidance as necessary on
unusual and complex problems encountered.
Performs other duties as assigned.

supervising in a law enforcement environment that has provided
knowledge in the areas of laws, regulations, law enforcement

for police operations.
