eCommerce Systems Analyst
This is a great opportunity to join an innovative, fast-paced organization providing Operations ownership and expertise for eCommerce systems. You will work closely with development, business and other IT teams, providing expertise and hands-on support in your areas of responsibility. You will also participate in a 7x24 tier 3 support organization, playing a mission-critical role in ensuring top-notch production performance.
We're looking for an experienced team player, who has exceptional technical, interpersonal and teamwork skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and team player, a strong driver for results and a champion of continuous improvement.
In particular, this position will specialize in operational support of our enterprise messaging platform, a key component of next-generation architecture. This requires knowledge of and experience in Java based service oriented architecture (SOA) patterns such as web services, JMS and enterprise messaging.
Job Responsibilities:

System owner and primary analyst providing Tier 3 support for Java based messaging platform.
Identify security and performance issues at multiple layers of deployment, from hardware, operating environment, network and application.
Work closely with IT & PD counterparts on requirements, issues, problem solving and planning related to all related product releases.
Participate in requirements gathering and solution design.
Provide feedback and guidance to product development teams on adherence to policies, standards and operational best practices.
Establish and monitor key performance benchmarks.
Evaluate performance trends and expected changes in demand and capacity.
Establish key monitors to insure performance SLAs are met by analyzing, interpreting and summarizing performance data and metrics.
Provide technical expertise in identifying issues that impact service delivery.
Proactively identify top performance bottlenecks and work with cross-functional teams to bring rapid, effective resolution.
Schedule, plan and implement new systems.
Develop and maintain internal documentation.
Recommend and maintain technology related procedures and policies.

Required skills for this eCommerce Systems Analyst:

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Expertise running mid to large scale implementation projects.
Deep expertise and hands-on experience with enterprise messaging products in a full production environment.
Demonstrated experience in and ability to develop productive working relationships with both clients and other project team members, and to work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Practical hands-on experience providing operational support for Java/J2EE applications.
Understanding of XML document processing and event messaging patterns.
Strong problem-solver. Proven ability to sort through complex issues and actively participate in development of alternative solutions or approaches.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to produce results under constraints of time, budget, available expertise, existing applications and infrastructure.
Proven experience with, and deep understanding of, performance tuning.
Expertise building, implementing and supporting monitoring tools.
Solid understanding of security fundamentals as they pertain to ecommerce application environments.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a minimum of 4 years proven experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise level transactional eCommerce systems.
Bonus Skills:

Experience providing operational support for Integration Platforms, such as Progress (SonicESB or SonicMQ), BizTalk, JCAPS(seeBeyond), Tibco, WebMethods or Vitria.
Experience providing operational support for Microsoft application, e.g.: .NET, C++, ASP.
Strong applications development and database integration knowledge.
Experience in UML Modeling.
Knowledge of SQL and database design concepts.
Experience with load-balancing, SSL acceleration, caching, and content distribution.
Previous consulting experience would be a plus.
Knowledge of integrating wireless modules in systems (laptops).
Knowledge of system power management.
