Located in a small town in central Pennsylvania, this family-owned company is seeking an experienced man or woman to develop 1-2 hotel sites per year. The job. The Vice President of Development will oversee site selection and construction of the company's new hotel sites. (You may also be asked to assist in site development for the company's chain of family restaurants.) It is also likely that after 2-3 years you can move into a general manager's role, overseeing all hotel properties for the company. The company. Employees are expected to maintain a respectable work-family balance and the company provides a schedule, opportunities, and a culture to support this. You will be located in a beautiful small town in central Pennsylvania, yet just a couple of hours from NYC, Philadelphia, and Washington. The local schools are outstanding and a leading college is a few blocks from the office. The company is successful and had varied investments, including being the largest franchisee for a major family restaurant chain and, of course, hotels.

Required Skills

Your qualifications. There are no arbitrary qualifications, but here are the qualities we desire: You should have solid experience with a quality hotel chain in selecting hotel sites, analyzing the data necessary to make the decisions, as well as overseeing contractors. Additional experience in restaurant site development would be a plus, but not required. Also, operational experience in the hotel industry (management) would give you a strong advantage as a candidate.

Compensation. The company is flexible depending on your background and the full skills-package you can bring to the table, but the salary will probably start with a 7 or 8. A full benefit package is provided, along with car.
