Controller / CFO

Aerotek currently has an opening for a Controller / CFO for a custom manufacturing company in Oregon City. Our client is a well-established, family-owned fabrication company which specializes in a variety of custom metal projects.

Compensation is $65K+/year depending on experience. This position is a direct placement with the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements consisting of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash flow analysis, A/R and A/P aging statements. Prepare annual corporate income tax returns. Maintain accounting records sufficient to pass IRS audits and in accordance with GAAP requirements.

- Monitor and analyze monthly Work-In-Process inventory. Provide final costing and close work orders as jobs are completed.

- Manage ongoing cash flow through analysis of A/R and A/P. This includes timely payment of vendors and collection activities on delinquent accounts. This also includes working closely with sales staff to determine most economic method and timing for purchasing materials and working with the production department to ensure timely job completion.

- Supervise all accounting functions and personnel responsible for completion of accounting related activities such as but not limited to invoicing, cash collections, vendor payments and bank reconciliations. Maintain all accounting records and procedures in accordance with GAAP and IRS requirements.

- Maintain relationships with finance company, banks, vendors and customers. This function includes arranging and maintaining reasonable payment terms with vendors to ensure that the payment for materials closely follows the completion of related jobs. The Controller also determines and approves invoice payment sequence.

- Manage company insurance requirements to insure adequate coverage as required in accordance with company goals. This includes group health insurance as well as liability and disaster insurance.

- Work with outside attorneys and CPAs to comply with corporate and government regulations.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

BS in accounting with 6+ years job related experience in a manufacturing environment with a knowledge of cost accounting. MBA helpful. Knowledge of Computer systems (accounting, database, word processing and spreadsheet) along with ability to learn industry-specific software.
