This vacancy announcement is open to 'U.S. citizens - all sources.' Also advertised is NRCS-MO-08-026 for STATUS candidates only. Only one position will be filled.
Responsible for performing a wide range of budget and accounting duties. Assist Budget Officer with development of budget projections.
Major Duties
Provides advice to officials in planning and estimating budget. Analyzes budget estimates. Monitors the use and rate of expenditure of funds. Assists in preparing a variety of reports. Maintains the debt management and cash management programs. Provides accounting support. Assures obligations entered into the accounting system are valid and in compliance. Serves as agency certifying officer. Assists in the development of simpler economic evaluations including case studies and formulating economic input.

What To Expect Next:

Qualifications
GS-9 Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree of LL.B. or J.D., if related OR 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-7 is qualifying.
Graduate education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
Specialized experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
To qualify based on education, provide proof of your education by submitting a copy of transcript (legible xerox is OK) showing courses with credit hours, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. You can receive credit for education received outside the United States if you provide evidence that it is comparable to an accredited educational institution in the United States when you apply.
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.
You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.
