Major Duties

The Real Estate Division utilizes multiple accounts including civil, military, appropriated and revolving funds. Collects and compiles statistical data covering Real Estate activities for budget preparation, program review and analysis. Establishes, maintains and updates automated spreadsheets and databases which depict the status of Real Estate Divisions resources (funds and manpower) in prescribed formats. Prepares charts and graphs depicting real estate cost, workload and manpower data. Queries and retrieves information from computer systems. Enters financial transactions into computer systems. Originates Purchase Request and Commitments for all leases, which include rent and lump sum payments, as well as miscellaneous goods and services for the Branch. Distributes Labor Charge Codes as funds are received. Assists Real Estate staff with identifying and verifying Work Items and Purchase Request and Commitments numbers established for accounts.

General Schedule Knowledge of the Corps organization structure, budgetary policies, precedents, decisions, procedures, and regulations. Knowledge of effective methods for compiling statistical information in order to provide useful reports and spreadsheets. Knowledge of database structure in order to correctly enter Purchase Requests and commitments, obligation and receivable data and to query/retrieve financial information. High degree of skill in using computers and software programs such Standard Query Language (SQL), Windows programs; Access, Excel and Word for Windows, and the Internet Explorer and electronic mail systems in order to write queries, create and maintain spreadsheets and databases, prepare correspondence, search for information and transmit data (upload/download) to other computer facilities. Skill in interpreting regulations and instructions that pertain to the budget, finance, travel, and automation functions within the Real Estate Division. Knowledge of time keeping rules and regulations. Skill as a qualified typist is required to operate and keyboard a micro-computer.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
