Job Listing: Senior Purchasing Agent
This position approves manufacturing requisitions, places and expedites purchase orders and negotiates contracts and blanket purchase orders. Sources new items, identifies potential vendors, develops specifications for new items and presents recommendation to management for evaluation. Collaborates with staff in other departments to identify and resolve problems related to purchasing within scope of responsibility. Identifies single-source materials and develops contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply. Establishes and maintains effective vendor relationships. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience required. Minimum five years' purchasing agent experience required. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and working knowledge of purchasing utilizing MRP systems required. CPM certification preferred.
