Job Listing: .NET Developer

TEKsystems has a client in Hendersonville, NC in need of a well rounded Microsoft Developer with experience in developing web applications against Microsoft SQL Server. The position includes Web design, XML B2B, technical design, database design, code, testing and implementation. Candidates must also have experience in secure coding.

This is a permanent position with an immediate start date.

A successful candidate will develop application modifications and enhancements using relevant technologies and be able to create technical design for application modifications/enhancements based upon user requirements and specifications. Prepare detailed technical specifications that document modifications/enhancements. Participate in design/application code reviews with peers. Assist in application quality assurance efforts as needed, including unit testing and system tests.
Assist in code management and the code-promotion process in multiple environments. The balance of your time will be to develop and maintain SQL Server stored procedures and reports and to provide ongoing user support for the specific systems worked on.



Experience:
~ Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 1-3 years of relevant successful Information Systems experience working as an application developer.

~ Demonstrated proficiency in relevant technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, Classic ASP, ASP.NET, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, T-SQL, Web Services, and XML.

~ Experience utilizing a software development methodology in designing and building software applications is required.

~ Experience in use of development source control tools such as Microsoft Visual Source Safe

~ Strong written/oral communication skills, with ability to effectively create detailed technical design specifications based on user needs

~ Strong organizational skills with ability to execute project plans and manage deliverables against strict deadlines

~ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, etc.
