Job Listing: Chief Civil Engineer, P.E.

Highly-acclaimed, Rocky Mountain Engineering Consulting Firm is actively seeking a Chief Civil Engineer, P.E. to join its growing team in Lafayette, Colorado.

Qualified candidates will offer a BS Degree in Civil Engineering, have obtained a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) and have 15+ years of site development engineering experience in the civil and/or transportation industries.

This position will be responsible for the following:
- Chief Engineer on site development, roadway and trail projects that are green-focused and socially conscious.
- Business and relationship development on site, roadway and trail projects.
- Lead a team of designers through the entire project cycle.
- Train and mentor staff.

Additional qualifications include:
- 15 years minimum experience designing site, street and trail projects according to local and ASHTO standards.
- Proven experience managing engineers and drafters for on-time and on-budget completion of projects.
- Business development experience in writing proposals and client contact.
- Proficiency in grading, drainage, utility and hydraulic design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and InRoads, as well as Word, Excel and Microsoft Project.

Any "green" certifications and/or specific environmentally-conscious site development experience (i.e. LEED-AP, etc.) is considered a huge plus for this position.

This client has been in business since 1988 and has currently completed an extensive range of projects: buildings, roads, trails, underpasses, building sites, bridge inspections and construction management. Their engineers have more than 200 years of combined experience in design and construction management.
