SUMMARY: This individual would provide advice and assistance to agency clients on commercial line products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Commitments
- Manages an assigned book of business.
- Assists agency clients with all commercial insurance products and services
- Supports Account Executives by delivering detailed quotes from various markets (some examples: responds to phone inquiries, binders/certificates, finance agreements and surplus lines production)
- Completes new applications, renewals and supplemental questionnaires
- Develops and rounds out accounts
- Follows up with insurance companies on adverse decisions
- Adheres to the pre-renewal customer contact program
- Responds to all inquiries in a timely and professional fashion
- Resolves and RMV issues and acquires a working knowledge of procedures and processes
- Maintains adequate records and documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Other Responsibilities
- Promotes the 5 Star philosophy and helps agency maintain its certification
- Drives for results
- Have a successful track record of developing and nurturing client and company relationships
- Works with Company Underwriters to achieve common goals
- Participates in special projects as necessary
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school or three years relevant experience
- Obtain license and other professional designations within agreed upon time frame
- Should be highly motivated
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to make sound decisions
- Working knowledge of Sagitta and other desktop applications
- Self motivated and action oriented
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or bend and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities needed by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
