Job Listing: Quality Control Chemistry Lab Tech III

This position is responsible for ensuring the formulating of all raw materials and that finished products meet required standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

¿ Performs formulation and weighing of materials
¿ Performs raw materials sampling and analytical testing
¿ Performs any additionally needed analytical testing on raw materials and drug products
¿ Maintains equipment log books and personal laboratory notebook

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

¿ Performs all required duties for QC Chemistry Laboratory Technician IIs as needed
¿ Performs routine maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment
¿ Attends annual GMP training

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

¿ Two years of college chemistry or equivalent experience
¿ Four year college degree in chemistry preferred
¿ Two years of laboratory experience, or a combination of experience and education
¿ Good verbal and written communication skills
¿ Good interpersonal/group skills
¿ Knowledge of cGMPs, USP/NF, and relevant internal SOPs
¿ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and document all activities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 25 pounds

EQUIPMENT: May use the following types of equipment: computer, copier, HPLC, FTIR, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, GC, weighing scales, viscometer, autotitrator, pH meter, conductivity meter, and osmometer.
