The Defense Legal Services Agency provides legal advice and services for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Department of Defense Field Activities, and Defense Agencies.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. this is a TERM appointment not to exceed December 2, 2009. Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or civilian aircraft. May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Knowledges, skills, and abilities that are needed to perform the duties of this position are:
1) Knowledge of office automation techniques. 2) Demonstrated ability to use and operate word processing and other office automation equipment. 3) Ability to organize and maintain information in a comprehensive manner. 4) Ability to converse with telephone callers in a polite, tactful and articulate manner, ensuring that all calls a transferred to the appropriate connection. 5) Knowledge of military organizations, and the general operations of a legal office.

Former Federal employees who return to work for the government after receiving Voluntary Separation Incentive Pay (VSIP) are normally required to repay an amount equal to the VSIP amount received, including Federal taxes that were withheld. This requirement remains in effect for five years after separation. Upon acceptance of a tentative offer, submission of a copy of the separation SF-50 will be required.
