Job Listing: NETWORK ENGINEER (TECH SUPPORT)

Handle day to day MDA/SBIRS LAN operations:
Ethernet backbone - routers/firewalls, topology and physical connectivity

Network services: File/print/email/metaframe/VPN/RAS/blackberry/OWA/SMS/tape backup

Hardware maintenance and repair

Perform daily check and network monitor, via Open View and manual walk through: Configure and trouble shoot LAN related problems, escalate if necessary; Coordinate with MDA/SBIRS network control center for any tasks or projects; Develop user management and support procedures, document solutions and configuration;

In charge of email GAL exchange with contractors: Assist customer service and help desk work; Assist maintaining classified MDA/SBIRS network; Any other special project assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills


Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience

CCNA, MCSE or equivalent: Familiar with server hardware, Ethernet topology, copper and fiber, SAN, Windows 2000, SMS, Cisco IOS, Cable tester, HP Open View

Able to develop solutions with one of the following tools: VB, C++, WHS, DOS batch file

Capable of Walking 100ft carrying 50 lbs weight.

Skill/Role Level Years Preference Network Engineer Expert 4.0 Required
