Job Listing: Cisco Engineer/Administrator

A well established client is looking for two Cisco Network Engineers with SAN experience. They are open to direct hire, contract or contract to hire. While these are in Marshfield for the perfect candidate they would be willing to consider Appleton.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SAN storage, Veritas and Cisco router experience. These positions are open due to growth and internal promotions.

Under general supervision, this person is responsible for design and support of the main servers, storage area network (SAN) and main data backup system. Research, design and develop computer, equipment, devices and systems, applying principles and techniques of systems engineering. Study vendor products to determine which products best meet company needs and present recommendations for purchase to management. Coordinate installation and moves of new and existing main servers and peripherals. Coordinate rigorous testing of systems prior to deployment in production environment. Work closely with software developers and others in design and testing of computer hardware and related components. Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications. Direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in a timely manner. Work closely with vendors to obtain and document any service, advice and part replacements as needed.
