- Provides leadership and ensures safe work practices and adherence to all safety regulations
- Supervise Maintenance Department
- Manage and Administer the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Provides status reports of PM’s, backlog, Key Performance Indicators, and equipment downtime, etc.
- Plan, schedule and assign maintenance and repair work
- Assist in identifying critical spares and maintenance storage facilities, inventory management, maintenance tools, work benches, equipment and work area requirements
- Responsible for the reliability of critical assets (press, furnaces, overhead cranes, etc.)
- Plan and support plant outages
- Support the Company's Engineering Department
- Perform strategic outsourcing of repair work
- Meets attendance standards
- May work weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary
- Abide by all policies and procedures established by the Company
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years experience managing a maintenance organization
- Experience with CMMS’s
- Experience administering PM programs
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and circuits
- Ability to work well with a team while also working independently.
- Detail oriented and ability to plan, organize and prioritize.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Access and Excel).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Work experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Knowledge of hydraulic forging presses and furnace combustion systems
- Trained in reliability engineering
- Experience with new equipment installations and/or equipment upgrade projects
