Job Listing: Java Developer

Our Client is presently searching for a Senior Java Developer. The candidate will be responsible for the support and construction of software applications that support web site efforts such as Web Image Management applications, Product processing support, modeling, batch processing, content management etc. We are looking for someone with experience and the passion to join a dynamic, knowledgeable team dedicated to the pursuit of cutting-edge, best-of-breed solutions to support a well-respected and well-known product label.

The candidate must have the following skills:
- 5 years of hands on Java experience
- 5 years experience in Perl
- Understanding of Websphere Commerce Suite and DB2 is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Catalog retail experience a huge plus
- Experience in leading a group of developers
- Ability to interface with a business community
- Proven ability to work on a development team or as an individual contributor
- Willingness to mentor less experienced Java developers or converted legacy programmers
- Willingness and ability to support an existing application
- Experience in developing applications from scratch
- Intimate knowledge of OO concepts, design patterns and UML
- Experience in following a well-established SDLC
- Experience in developing and supporting Service oriented architecture
- Experience in J2EE concepts such as EJB's, JMS, Servlets, JSP's, etc
- Knowledge of open source frameworks and tools
- Experience in interfacing with an Application Server, preferably WAS
- Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Ability to work within a pre-existing referential architecture

    Salary and Benefits
