Job Listing: Data Warehouse Developer

TEKsystems is currently looking for an enthusiastic Data Warehouse Senior Developer who knows how to balance having fun while working hard. This position is a direct hire in Melbourne, FL.

Qualified candidates MUST have experience with the following:
- Database experience in Oracle (9i or 10g) and SQL Server (2000 or 2005)

- Stored procedure experience in Oracle PL/SQL

- ETL experience in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and DTS (Data Transformation Services)

- OLAP experience in SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) Data Cubes

- Reporting experience in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)

- Development using C# or VB (Visual Basic) in .NET 2.0 using Visual Studio 2005

- Pivot tables in Microsoft excel


Position Summary

The Data Warehouse Senior Developer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a data warehouse containing corporate performance information and operational information for all Customer Interaction Centers worldwide. This position will be responsible for data warehouse structure and all Extract, Transformation, and Load (ETL) functions from a variety of operational systems. The processes related to data warehousing systems across the enterprise. In addition, will also manage the evolution of the data warehouse, analysis, and design documents, as well as planning and monitoring all system testing. Assessing the performance and capacity requirements of the data warehouse, making key technology decisions, verifying that the data warehouse architecture and implementation meets all user requirements is also required. Some other duties may include project timeline development and assistance, client interfacing, and development of business and user requirements.

What You'll Do

Data warehouse architecture, design, creation, loading and maintenance
Planning and monitoring all system testing
Assessing the performance and capacity requirements of the data warehouse including availability, data integrity, data feeds, etc
Making key technology decisions
Verifying that the Data Warehouse Architecture and implementation meets all user requirements
Mentor and assist in technical development of other technical staff
Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) functions from a variety of operational systems
What You Have

6+ years of Data Warehousing experience or 6-10 years of technology experience including Data Warehousing
Physical data modeling
Logical data modeling
System Data Warehouse Architecture
SQL and Data Access Optimization
Microsoft Share Point Portal product experience
ETL experience, especially using MS DTS
Experience in implementing Data Warehouse architectures, especially using Oracle databases, MS SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft Web Objects products, including the following items is required: Data staging areas, Cleansing and transformation mechanisms, Normalized databases, Star/Snowflakes schemas, Business Intelligence delivery mechanisms
Knowledge of VB using Oracle and/or SQL as source databases, "Light" PLSQL (used to transform data in the staging database and part of a load into the data warehouse), Physical data modeling (e.g. collapsing tables or special views to improve performance and usability), Logical data modeling (e.g. for spin-off data marts).
Primary operational data source is from call centers, so knowledge of call centers and/or Lucent switches (key to understand data) is a definite plus
In addition knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), and Internet architecture and business solution paradigms is desired
System Data Warehouse Architecture (basic understanding of Unix/AIX and NT systems as relates to Data Warehouse infrastructure) preferred
SQL & Data Access Optimization in Oracle 9i/10 & SQL: Server 2000 environments preferred
OLAP, SQL Plus, etc. preferred
ER modeling experience preferred
