Summary of Job Requirements:
Provide hardware engineering oversight for critical sustainment and modernization hardware projects. The COE HW engineer will provide technical and process guidance to key hardware projects across the entire project lifecycle from initial concept identification through test validation and deployment.
· Provide technical peer review of hardware designs and ensure engineering process rigor is applied to hardware design selection and implementation.
· Act as mentor for product line hardware engineers.
· Act as project technical advisor for advanced technology programs in area of expertise.
· Interface with other contractors and government customers.
· Identify new technologies for integration to ground based space surveillance sensors.
· Support Hardware Center of Excellence (COE) Lead as necessary on SENSOR hardware engineering process enhancements.
Education / Experience / Other Requirements
(BS/MS Electrical Engineering or Physics preferred)
· Engineering design experience in one or more of the following areas a plus: (High Voltage systems, High power transmitters, RF, microwave, analog and digital systems)
· Familiarity with depot level maintenance procedures, sustainment engineering procedures, and supportability documentation procedures a plus
Experience with Ground based radar and/or Electro-optical imaging systems a plus
Minimum: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required; may be required to obtain an interim clearance within 6 months of document submittal.
