Job Listing: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Buyer II

PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURING BUYER II

A Large West Coast Producer of outstanding pharmaceutical, nutritional and personal care products.

The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing raw materials used for production utilizing approved specifications and vendors.

Major Job Duties Include:
*Review and track approved purchase requests
*Determine availability of supply
*Place orders, forecast, plan and purchase inventories
*Provide Cost analysis
*Interview, select and develop suppliers, assesses vendor capabilities, develop alternative sources; evaluate supplier performance, price and delivery terms and establishes good business rapport.

Job Requirements:
*Bachelors Degree in business, finance, or related area, or equivalent education, training and experience is required.
*Minimum of two years experience in the pharmaceutical, nutritional and/or health and beauty care field is required.
*Must be experienced with modern purchasing practices, JIT (Just in Time), cost savings programs.
*Proficient in Word, WordPerfect, and Spreadsheet software.
*Good phone mannerism, positive attitude, and effective communication
