Job Listing: BIOTECH PRODUCTION MANAGER
Job Purpose:
Provide direct, hands-on leadership to all direct reports as well as ensure quality execution of all SOP's within a cGMP facility. This position is also responsible to create, implement and manage SOP's as needed for the facility. Expertise in working within a strong cross functional team environment is necessary, as this position will direct the strategic direction of all clients' needs within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership of cross functional teams to ensure achievement of strategic direction of client's and company's objectives.
Establish strategic direction, drive continuous improvement initiatives, develop and monitor effective performance metrics, and coach and develop department members.
Responsible to create, implement and monitor SOP's for compliance.
Provide expertise to department and management as needed.
Required Skills
Requirements:
BS/BA degree preferably in technical discipline (e.g. Manufacturing Engineer or Biology).
Minimum of 5 years experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment.
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a directly related field preferably with expertise in cross functional team environment.
Thorough understanding of cGMP requirements.
Understanding of materials management/purchasing and product inventory management methodologies.
Ability to receive and comprehend and to effectively communicate detailed information through verbal and written communication.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong Project Management skills.
Six Sigma experience or expertise in Process Improvement.
