SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER Job Description:
Aerotek has a client who is looking for a SENIOR PROCESS/PROJECT Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

***QUALIFIED CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A BACHELORS DEGREE IN MECHANICAL OR CHEMICAL ENGINEERING AS WELL AS 5 YEARS AS A PROCESS ENGINEER IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION***

SENIOR PROCESS PROJECT ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Will be responsible for work with engineering personnel to identify opportunities to improve process performance.

*Will implement projects by working through all phases including scheduling, procurement and construction management.

*Will develop and maintain knowledge of capital cost estimating skills.

*Will develop expertise on failure analysis and provide engineered solutions to remedy problems.

*Will develop and maintain knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance requirements.

*Will maintain plant knowledge base for process equipment.

*Will develop knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques.

*Will prepare and review new equipment specifications to insure they meet intended service and operability requirements.

*Will troubleshoot and recommend solutions to recurring process problems.

*Will provide field supervision support on critical equipment failure investigations.

*Will develop expertise on critical pieces of equipment.

SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:
*Must have a Bachelors Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

*Must have at least 5 years of experience in the chemical process industry.

*Must have extensive experience in the tracking and identification of process performance issues and implementation of corrective actions to maintain optimum process efficiency and production.

*Ideal candidates will have experience with process equipment used in the production of nitrogen based fertilizers.
