FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements. Proof of Eligibility if applying for consideration under a priority selection program (e.g., CTAP/ICTAP) or a special appointing authority. Individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. To be well-qualified and exercise selection priority for this vacancy, displaced Federal employees must be rated at 85 or above on the rating criteria for this position. GS-5: You qualify at the GS-5 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the skills needed to perform the job duties. This experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level. Examples include reviewing applications for immigration benefits for accuracy, validity, and proper form and format; using various computer software programs to produce office support materials on immigration benefits; and/or setting up and maintaining subject matter files, technical instructions, and/or operating procedures on immigration benefits.
GS-6: You qualify at the GS-6 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the skills needed to perform the job duties. This experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level. Examples include reviewing and screening routine applications and petitions for immigration benefits, using computer indices to determine a subjects current immigration status; and/or providing routine information and assistance on applications for immigration benefits.
GS-7: You qualify at the GS-7 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the skills needed to perform the job duties. This experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level. Examples include providing assistance on complex applications and petitions for immigration benefits to applicants and/or their legal representatives; and/or analyzing and evaluating cases where screening or resolution of requests for immigration benefits has been delayed and informing inquirers verbally or in writing of problems encountered and action required.
Education:
GS-5: You may substitute successful completion of a Bachelor s degree or a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a Bachelors degree for the experience required at the GS-5 level. This education must have been obtained from an accredited college or university. One year of full-time undergraduate study is defined as 30 semester or 45 quarter hours.
Appropriate combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience also may be used to meet the total qualification requirements for the GS-5 grade level.

U.S. Citizenship: Candidates must be United States citizens and present proof of citizenship, if selected.
