Job Listing: Materials Handler

Primary Responsibilities:
1) Accurately process material shipments or inventory transfers.
2) Transact material shipments and inventory transfers using MAPICS or freight software.
3) Train in and carry out documented (ISO9001) procedures.
4) Follow HAZMAT storage policies and procedures.
5) Demonstrate an understanding of best in class inventory control procedures from material receipt through customer shipments.
7) Maintain housekeeping per safety training and requirements.
8) Demonstrate ability to process material transfers using inventory control procedures.
9) Able to operate office (phone, fax, copy, etc.) and stockroom (Forklift, “cherry-picker”, ladders, etc.) equipment.



General Education and Background Requirements:
1) High school diploma or equivalent.
2) Able to learn basic computer knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Shipping/Receiving software).
3) Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
4) Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, etc.).
5) Good written and verbal skills.
6) Able to learn basic inventory control practices.
7) Demonstrates teamwork.
8) Communication skills both written and verbal.
9) Works effectively to individual goals and task instructions.
