Job Listing: Systems Installation Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a Systems Installation Engineer for their Montgomeryville area location.This position is responsible for installing, debugging and supporting SGV project-related software systems at customer sites domestically and internationally.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Installs, debugs, and supports project-related software systems.

- Assists in the development of project software components, including:

- Specification and acquisition of project computer hardware and software

- Setup and configuration of project computer hardware and software

- Development of system functional specifications and detailed system design specifications

- Designing, coding, testing, debugging, installing and supporting project-specific system software, including:

- Road System (layout) development, including routing code placement) and traffic management (contention and blocking)

- Application-specific software modules including decision point processing, custom event processing (I/O events), and other application-specific processing, primarily using the APLUS programming language

- Configuration of project-specific database tables

- In-house lab testing and simulation testing of project-related host software

- Troubleshooting, debugging, and assisting in applying corrective service software packs to product and project software

- Archiving/preserving project-related software
Customizing of User and System Management manuals


Position: Systems Installation Engineer
Location: Montgomeryville, PA
Pay: $47,000 to $51,000 a year


REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor’s degree (BSEE or BSME or Computer Science) from four-year college or university.

- Systems Installation Engineer – 2 to 3 years product experience;
experience as lead installation engineer on smaller scale projects.

- Comfortable & familiar with the logic behind software for the equipment

- In depth knowledge of software that is used to control hardware

- Hands-on person that likes to take on their own projects (working on cars, building things, etc.)

- A "tickerer" with a technical background

- Prior experience in installation of products in preferred

- Travel is required
