Job Listing: Plant Process Engineer

A large ammonia fertilizer plant located in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer to join plant operations staff. This is a direct hire position, but would entertain resumes from qualified contractors/consultants. Company offers very competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and full relocation package. Qualified candidates can interview and start immediately.

Responsibilities for the Sr. Process Engineer:

- Identify and implement major plant production upgrade projects.
- Includes front end engineering design through field construction.
- Specify process equipment and perform process heat and material balances.
- Troubleshoot process problems and implement solutions to ensure production continues in a safe, compliant, and reliable manner

Requirements for the Sr. Process Engineer:

- Requires BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and five (5) years experience in the chemical process industry.
- Requires extensive experience in the tracking and identification of process performance issues and implementation of corrective actions to maintain optimum process efficiency and production.
- Thorough knowledge of process equipment used in the production of nitrogen based fertilizers is needed.
