Company Overview: A well established global, award winning company specializing in innovative hard and soft goods has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in global manufacturing and domestic distribution.

Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer for support in the design, development and improvement of products utilizing SolidWorks and related manufacturing software. The ideal candidate will be a key member in new product development teams and will directly interface with suppliers. Daily activities will include evaluation of products, components and processes for cost efficiency, reliability and ensuring timely project completion.


Required Skills

Technical Skills:
*Proficiency with SolidWorks.
*Expertise with various material applications and equivalencies with respect to domestic and Asian markets.
*Plastic injection molding.
*Casting.
*Machining principals.
*Fixturing.
*Manufacturing sequence of events.
*Statistical Process Control (SPC).
*Quality systems, Six Sigma.
*Root cause failure analysis.
*Knowledge of design for manufacturing and assembly, Poka-yoke etc.
*Metrology.
*Good problem solving skills.
Leadership Skills:
*Scheduling.
*Work breakdown structures.
*Maintaining budget constraints.
*Conduct manufacturing reviews.
*Conduct Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) reviews.
*Participate in Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA) reviews.
*Present manufacturing plans and schedules to Upper Management.
*Support teams at all levels.

Education Requirements:
BS Manufacturing Engineering degree or equivalent (ABET Accredited).
Experience Level: 6 + years.
Travel Requirements: 35%.
