A Top 4 Accounting firm is seeking a dedicated and driven Business Analyst for a 3+ month contract position.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Business Analyst will:
Model business processes to understand current systems and their informational content.
Propose a new process that is simpler and/or more effective.
Perform the following tasks:
Requirements gathering coordination and documentation using standard techniques.
Scope and requirements management.
Develop:
Visio diagrams of business processes.
Use Cases for requirements.
Participate in testing the functionality of the system.
Liaison among stakeholders within their work stream in order to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and validate requirements for business processes and changes to business processes, policies and information systems.
Understand business problems and opportunities, and formulate them into functional requirements.
Document functional requirements into agreed-upon document formats such as Use Cases.
Work with business stakeholder to develop critical success factors, User Acceptance criteria, and User Test Plans.
Recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
Ensure that all stakeholder needs are met by the requirements entered.
Report to the group’s Project Manager.

Required Skills
Required Skills for this Business Analyst position include the following:
Technical background of doing SQL Queries to validate data input, process and output
Knowledge of and/or experience with HR PeopleSoft system and/or provisioning systems
Ability to translate business requirements into clear guidance for Technical PMs
Ability to understand technology solutions, including the relation to the business needs
Strong organizational skills
Required Hard Skills:
Must be Superior in the following skills:
Business Process Documentation (Visio and standard tools)
Use Case Creation (Using RUP techniques)
Use Case Analysis
Must be Strong in the following skills:
Business Data Modeling
Business Data Analysis
