Job Listing: Occupational Health Nurse

Major Purpose and Duties: RN position at Local Heavy Industry Occupational Health Services. Must be dependable and able to manage emergency situations when necessary. • Provide emergency care and follow-up care to employees who become ill or are injured at work. • Advise, counsel and treat employees’ injuries and illnesses not related to work to facilitate recovery and increase productivity. • Educate, advise and immunize employees and their families who travel internationally or who have accepted an international assignment. • Perform physical testing, including audiometry, spirometry, EKG, venipuncture, vision testing, and physical assessment for executive health program, new employee physicals and surveillance physicals. • Complete appropriate forms on all work-related injuries and illnesses to ensure OSHA compliance. • Document all pertinent data in employees’ medical records and maintain confidentiality of this information. • Participates in wellness education of employees. • Continue education in occupational health. Wellness and international travel to ensure quality health care to employees. • Order and maintain adequate supplies in Occupational Health Services department. • Assist with other Occupational health Services department functions as needed.
