This position is under the supervision of the Equipment Concentration Site Manager.



This position offers the opportunity to run an Army AMSA shop; to learn how to deal with competing priorities, and how to imporve programs and methods of operation.



Recruitment incentive and PCS paid. Must be new hire to Federal Government or have a break in service from Federal Government. Must incur two year obligation within Department of Defense. Must start on or before 30-SEP-2008.

Major Duties

Select workers & assign tasks to be performed. Explain work requirements/methods/procedures; instruct subordinates in new procedures. Investigate work related problems to identify causes; implement those corrective actions that can be taken. Adjust plans/assignments/methods to accomplish work as effectively/economically. Determine equipment/supplies/maintenance required. Assure material is ordered/delivered to work sites so as not to delay work. Plan weekly/monthly work schedules & sequence of operations for subordinates. Establish deadlines/priorities on basis of general work schedules/methods/policies. Determine how many assignments can be done concurrently, which ones must be delayed, & number/types of employees needed, considering skills/personnel/materials/etc. Develop performance standards, counsel employees, make formal/informal performance appraisals. Identify training needs & initiate recommendations to provide necessary training. Maintain production reports/records.
