Position is indefinite; however, may convert to permanent without further competition. If selectee is tenured, tenure will not change.
Job Summary: This position is located in the Military Personnel Office (MILPO) of the Army National Guard. The purpose of this position is to serve as the final reviewer and procedural authority of personnel actions submitted to the MILPO by lower echelons. Work is to be performed in one or more of the following work areas: Officer or Enlisted Personnel Management (OPM, EPM); Retirement Points Accounting Management (RPAM); Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP); Montgomery G.I. Bill; MOS Medical Review Board (MMRB); Line of Duty (LOD) investigations; and Standard Installation and Division Personnel System (SIDPERS).
Background Check: The applicant tentatively selected for this position may, at the option of the agency, be required to submit to criminal, credit history, and general background checks which will be evaluated by the agency prior to a final offer of employment and accession into the Georgia National Guard Federal Technician or Active Guard/Reserve program.
Military Membership: This is a Title 32, Excepted Service Dual Status Civilian Position requiring active membership in a compatible skill in the Georgia Army National Guard as a condition of employment. Wear of the military uniform is mandatory; acceptance of this position constitutes agreement with these conditions.

General Experience: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidates ability to perform the duties of the position.
Specialized Experience: Must have a minimum of 09 months specialized experience performing or supervising clerical, assistant or technical work which requires a knowledge of the procedures, established guidelines, and techniques involved in carrying out the work of the organization.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: For the first six (6) months of specialized experience, study successfully completed in a resident school above the high school level may be substituted at the rate of one academic year of study for six (6) months of specialized experience, provided the study included at least six (6) semester hours in subjects closely related to the personnel field. Such subjects include: English comp, public administration; personnel administration; statistics, psychology, or other courses where primary emphasis is on writing skills.
