About the Position: **This position is under the supervision of the Supervisory Police Officer.



**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:



**Incumbent must: Obtain and maintain a secret clearance; Qualify with assigned weapon(s); Successfully complete an initial physical examination; Successfully pass initial and periodic drug abuse test.



**Incumbent must possess a valid state drivers license.



**Incumbent is subject to mandatory drug and alcohol testing.



**Selectee must have No Domestic Violence (DV) Convictions.



**Incumbent is subject to Heavy Lifting in excess of 45lbs.



**Incument will be required to wear Protective Equipment.



**Incumbent may be required to travel, work irreguar hours, subject to callback, unscheduled overtime, and to protect him/herself in potentially dangerous situations.

Major Duties

In this position, you will be required to analyze crime and incident statistics to determine trends. From such analysis, develops recommendations for the Chief, Security Operations Division, on deployment of police assets, including numbers of personnel needed per shift and zone operation. You will develop and direct implementation of policy for patrol officers; supervise all auxiliary support functions, to include general administrative support, police records, and supply; be responsible for developing operational-level metrics within functional areas; analyze performance data to develop procedures to continuously improve quality and quantity of work product and ensure customer satisfaction. Also, you will receive all requests for police support to special events, and IAW guidelines established by the Chief, Security Operations Division, develop and implement plans to support such events; such as parades and ceremonies, festivals, air shows, carnivals, fireworks displays, etc.

General Schedule SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Candidates resume must identify 1 year of specialized experience and/or training with supervisory or managerial skills in conjunction with experience that provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property and the responsibility for the development, implementation, and execution of law enforcement programs, policies, and procedures of the Security Support Branch.




Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing visitor protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other natural resource or recreational environments; in performing criminal investigative duties; or in other work that provided the required knowledge and skills.




**The Army Civilian Education System (CES) is a structured, progressive, sequential program which broadens the targeted civilian educational training base. It provides leader training and education that supports civilian leaders? career path requirements and professional development, and promotes lifelong learning and self development as integral parts of the civilian leader development program. CES provides leader development opportunities for Army civilians. The following course and time requirements apply to this position: The Supervisory Development Course (SDC) must be completed within one year of placement into the position. The Foundation Course (FC) is required for all supervisors and managers hired after 30 September 2006. The Basic Course (BC) must be completed within one year of placement into the position. The Intermediate Course (IC) must be completed within two years after placement into the position. The Advanced Course (AC) must be completed within two years after placement into the position.
